💡 About the Bitcoin Bear
What is the Bitcoin Bear?
The Bitcoin Bear is a cuddly toy designed to make a Bitcoin gift physical and meaningful.
It links to a wallet address you control, allowing the Bitcoin to be tracked over time, while the Bitcoin itself always stays in your wallet.
Does the bear come with Bitcoin?
No. The bear does not include Bitcoin by default. You link it to Bitcoin you already own by providing a wallet address you control.
Is this investment advice?
No. Bitcoin’s value can go up or down, and Crypto Cuddlies does not provide investment advice.
🔗 Linking & Tracking
Do you hold my Bitcoin at any point?
No - we never hold, store, or access Bitcoin.
Crypto Cuddlies does not custody funds, store private keys, or control wallets. The bear simply links to a public wallet address so it can be viewed.
What do I need to link the bear?
You only need a Bitcoin wallet address (a public receiving address).
You should never share:
- Private keys
- Recovery phrases
- Login details
We will never ask for these.
When do I link my wallet?
Once you have placed your order you will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to link your wallet. Only your public wallet address is required.
Linking is optional. If you don’t link a wallet, the bear is simply a normal cuddly toy.
How long does linking take?
Linking can take up to 24 hours after the wallet address is submitted.
Once linked, scanning the bear will show the wallet’s live value and transaction history.
What happens if I enter the wrong wallet address?
If an incorrect address is entered, simply contact us via the Contact Us form and we can help redirect the bear to the correct wallet address.
Can I change the wallet address later?
Yes. However, changes require contacting support directly.
This is a deliberate safeguard to prevent accidental or unauthorised changes.
What does the QR code show?
Scanning the bear opens a Blockchain.com explorer page showing:
- The wallet balance
- Transaction history
- Live Bitcoin value
This is public, view-only information.
Do I need a Bitcoin wallet to buy the bear?
No. You don’t need a wallet to purchase the bear, only to link it later if you choose to.
What if I lose access to my wallet?
Crypto Cuddlies cannot recover wallets or funds. Managing wallet access and backups is the responsibility of the buyer, just like any other Bitcoin holding.
👶 Gifting to Children
Is this suitable for gifting to children?
Yes. Many people gift the Bitcoin Bear to children.
In this case:
- The wallet is created and controlled by the buyer or parent
- The Bitcoin is set aside intentionally for the child
- Ownership is transferred later by sending the Bitcoin to a wallet the child controls when they are old enough
This is similar to other long-term savings gifts managed by an adult until the time is right.
Is the Bitcoin really theirs?
Technically, the Bitcoin belongs to whoever controls the wallet.
However, the intent of the gift is clear: Bitcoin is being set aside for the child, tracked openly, and transferred to them in the future.
The transfer happens when the Bitcoin is sent to a wallet they control.
